To pay tribute to the many Veterans in our community, our club has been asked to act as escorts for the busses of Veterans returning from their trip to Washington D.C. We leave from the Walmart in Leesburg to the local American Legion Post. The contingent of Vettes will be headed by LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES to allow us to proceed with minimum holdups.

The Legacy Restaurant at Nancy Lopez Country Club
A cooking demonstration of preparing a 3 course meal conducted by the
Executive Chef of the Legacy Restaurant. Guests will enjoy each of the courses as they are prepared.

We will cruise to Lake Mary where we will enjoy a fun filled afternoon of friendly Top Golf Competition in air conditioned comfort. This venue provides a tri-level range electronically monitored to give the competitor instant feedback and Loft, Speed, Distance and accuracy of each swing. Lunch is included.
A PARADE of club Corvettes will cruise Brownwood and Lake Sumter Landing and re-gathering at George Nahas Chevrolet, our club sponsor, for some relaxation, fun & free Hot Dogs.

This in a two-day (1 night) event to attend the all-Corvette show hosted by Space Coast Vettes on Saturday October 19,2024. Last year this show attracted approximately 225 Corvettes! In addition to the car show, it will be an enjoyable day visiting with Vette club friends, checking out some awesome Corvettes, meeting new people, dining at some nice restaurants and shopping along the tree-lined streets of Historic Downtown Melbourne. This is a Participant judged show with awards for the "Top 40" cars. There will be a 50/50 drawing, gift basket drawing and some outstanding door prize giveaways. The host hotel, located just 2 miles from the show location, is the Hilton Melbourne, 200 Rialto Place, Melbourne FL 32901. Call (321) 768-0200 for reservations at the daily show rate of $TBD plus tax. Just mention "Space Coast Vettes". Early registration, on or before September 1 is $30. This show will be held at Market Street at Heath Brook Mall in Dillard’s parking lot.
Many restaurants for dining, Pizza, Ice Cream, Mexican, a plethora of stores for shopping, 50/50, trophies, baskets, DJ, paved lot, Easy access from I-75 at exit 350 Hwy 200 and great Florida weather!
We will assemble at Mulberry Recreation Center at 7:15AM and will depart promptly at 7:30AM for a cruise together to the car show location. This is necessary in order that we can all park together.

FLIGHTLESS HONOR FLIGHT # M60 takes place on Saturday, Nov 18 29. at Eisenhower Rec Center. With the aid of multi media, Honor Flight staff and volunteers, the Veterans will enjoy a virtual presentation as if they were in Washington D.C. at the monuments. After the presentation, the veterans will board a bus at Eisenhower Rec Center. Local Law Enforcement, Village Vettes Corvette Club will form a caravan to escort the Veterans bus to the American Legion post for a raucous Welcome Home Celebration. Members interested in participating in the caravan, should assemble at Eisenhower parking lot at 1:30 pm latest and prepare for departure to the Legion at approximately 2:15 pm. All participants are welcome to stay at the Legion for the celebration
